Okay, i have read all the new articles you have posted Geek, on safely removing usb flash drives etc.
I now want different icon for each remove shortcut for each usb i have, on my quick launch. To do this i got the usb brand logos 30x30 pixels saved onto my pictures folder. I want to convert each into an icon so i can have it in the Quick Launch. I tried with Paint and Photoshop, but neither can save to ico file.

Any help guyz? thanks

You can use the freeware program IrfanView to open an image file and save it as an icon file.
Note: This program comes with Google Toolbar and Google Desktop. You will have to uncheck them in the setup if you don't want them.

If you want to save the image as an .ico file from within Photoshop, without needing another application, here's a plugin - http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/
