Hi all I have been given an imac g3 and would like to get it linked to my wireless network. I am a windows user and this is my first taste of mac's. With all my windows pc's in the house (4) they connect via either a built in wireless (laptops) or wireless usb adapters (desktops). I am running a netgear wireless router (from aol)

can i connect this imac to my network at all ?? do I need any serious hardware ? (i have found some stuff on mac help about an airport and airport card)

any help always appreciated

regards
ian

You would need an Original Airport Card which can be found on eBay in the $35 range.

Will that then connect to my wireless network automatically? or do i need any other hardware?

It should connect automatically. Of course, you may have to purchase an adapter to use the Airport card with the iMac G3, as they have a different slot than other Macs made in the 90s.
