I am trying to download lame for Audacity and am having absolutely no luck with this.
The link here: http://manual.audacityteam.org.....tallffmpeg is in error
or blind. I just does not work. I have tried to download the latest version from a number of sources with
the same result. I open Audacity and when I try to install it, it tells me that it's the wrong version.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

Len

Do you have the latest version of Audacity? 2.0.2 and not the Legacy version?

in that page - use your browsers find to look for : FFmpeg_v0.6.2_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe

Yes, Xhi 2.0.2 is the version I have. Just downloaded it.
Vistual....I went there, downloaded the one you suggested, went to edit>preferences>libraries>
locate...... opened it and then hit OK. Now, under mp3 library version it says, "mp3 export library not found"
but under that in the import/export library it does say FFmpeg library version: F(53.64.2), C(52.72.2), (U.50.15.1)
Does that sound like it's now installed?

If you did not get an error then I would assume it's okay .
