Any idea how I can get rid of an unwanted ebay folder in My Pictures. When I delete it it gives me a message cannot delete as being used by another person or programme. I am the only user and have searched for any other programme running but the one I want to delete is the only file showing.

It did let me delete the individual pictures in the folder but not the folder which still remains although the folder is now empty.

Running windows XP with the Seven transformation pack.

Thanks,
Ted

Or delete the folder when the computer is in safe mode

SAFE MODE

Reboot into SAFE MODE

1/Click Start and then click Turn Off Computer.
2/In the Turn Off Windows dialog box, click Restart, and then click OK.
3/As your computer restarts but before Windows launches, press F8 repeatedly.
4/Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode, and then press ENTER.
5/If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot system, choose the installation that you need to access using the arrow keys, and then press ENTER.
Note: If Windows launches before you can choose a safe mode, restart your computer and try again
PS/ Sometimes it maybe the F5 key

Thanks mfletch worked a treat. A bit scary as never been in safe mode before.

LH on that link I got a flash saying do not proceed to this site, reported as unsafe.
PS What has happened to Scottw have not seen any posts recently or his dog.

Thanks again,

Ted

Yes I get the same warning about the site,

If you still want to have a look at Unlocker go here http://www.filehippo.com/download_unlocker/

There are several false positives coming up. One is with Unlocker, and the other with Freecommander. Do not worry, they are both perfectly safe.
