This extension lets you easily save web pages to pdf. It uses http://pdfcrowd.com html to pdf online service.
The extension works right out of the box using the default settings. If you want to customize the pdf you can sign up for an account at Pdfcrowd. The available options include page size, page orientation, margins, password protection, initial view, etc.
Please note, that for security reasons it is not possible to create pdf from pages that use a server-based session to identify a user, e.g. your webmail inbox, shopping cart content, payment checkout, and the likes.

The OpenOffice.org office suite has pdf export under file menu. You can create a pdf from the OO Writer, Calc and all other features. Also, Internet Explorer 8 has the pdf export feature under the file menu.
From any file that I have tried, a pdf can be sent directly to the Nitro PDF Reader. This is a free download. Also, Primo PDF
Here is another one. Works like a printer and is easy to start with CTL+P

I use CutePDF writer. It's just a small piece of software that adapts to your already hooked up printer and lets you save as PDF with just C+p.

Or you could use Nitro PDF Reader. It adds a "printer" to Windows which is actually a converter. Just print the web page to that. Then Nitro PDF will ask you where you want to save it.
