Hi All

I am using dell inspiron 15R 5520 laptop which comes with all four USB 3.0 ports and have Windows 7 professional OS. I am trying to connect data logger (Advantech usb 4718) to my laptop. The software given for the data logger only supports windows xp. So I installed windows XP mode in my laptop.

But in Windows XP mode the USB ports are not working. I could not attach any USB devices in virtual machine. In the device manager in xp mode(Virtual machine) the USB 2.0 CRW drivers are not installed. I could not find any proper driver for itl Upon searching in net and various forums i could able to know that it is a Realtek 2.0 card reader but after installing the relatek 2.0 card reader driver also its showing the same in device manager that driver not installed.

the hardware id's for it in virtual machine is USB\Vid_0bda&Pid_0129&Rev_3960
USB\Vid_0bda&Pid_o120

Please help !!

Thanks in advance

Regards
Sekhar

I open Windows Explorer in XP Mode and connect any of my usb and it connects instantly.
