how to check the processor in the computer is 45nm or 65nm?

how to check the processor in the computer is 45nm or 65nm without looking inside the processor. And also what is the difference between 45nm and 65 nm other than the size?

Get CPU-Z, it will give you all the info on your cpu, mobo, and ram. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Other than the size, the main difference is the transistor density on the chip. The smaller chips usually run a bit cooler and usually draw a bit less power.
