(Solved) - How do I repair a laptop with Windows 8 on it?

I don't have a recovery disk. This is a brand new TOSHIBA laptop with W8 on it. My cousin tried to create a partition on the C drive and she says that when the system re-started, the error screen appears. I don't know how to recover or repair the computer without a disk. Is there a way to do it. My last resort would be to reformat it and re-install with a Windows 7 CD that I have. Any suggestions?

It would be the best thing to do, however, she purchased it on the internet. I don't even know where. She bought it for my mom, and she dumped it on my lap to fix it. My cousin is not the best at doing favors for people and she "doesn't have time to do favors for people". That's what she says.

You can try pressing F8 on bios startup and selecting the restore option

I can go to BIOS by hitting F12. I go to HDD Recovery> and press "Enter". When I select "Yes", it takes me back to the original blue screen that you see here.

Those are awesome links, however, if all I got is a USB flash drive. I don't have DVD's and so far I have not been able to set the BIOS to boot from the USB. How do I accurately set BIOS to boot up from the flash drive. I'm obviously doing doing something wrong because it's not working for me.

To work on the machine, we must be able to Boot from a USB Flash Drive or DVD.

What is the Exact Model Number of the computer ?? (May be on a Bottom Label along with the MS PID)

There are some tricks we have to do with the Windows Installation 7 DVD / USB First to prepare
the Windows 8 machine HD drive for above.

That's why I say it become complicated.

Make sure the computer is turned off.

Press and hold the 0(zero) key on your keyboard while
powering on the computer. Whenthe computer powers on, the
Toshiba Recovery Wizard screen displays.

Select : Recovery of Factory Default Software

This tells me that you can set the Bios to Boot from either USB or DVDrom.

May be Best you contact TOSHIBA because the machine is new and should be covered under TOSHIBA Warranty.

The way I would go about attempting to fix the computer is Very, Very Complicated and I'm not sure it would work.
