Hey there, i kind of need some help with removing the shadows of the windows. Im not sure if you understand exactly what i mean... but take a look at this picture... http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/543/picxk8.jpg

Im 75% sure i can remove it though editing some registry key using the regeditor!? I cannot remove it using the Vista settings, belive me ive tried everything!! The reason i want to get rid of it is becouse its soooo ugly and annoying!

Hope someone mabye can write a tutorial about it? Plz respond.

THANKS!

You will need to disable Aero and go to Classic

I'll take a closer look when I'm on a Vista machine, may not get back on this before tomorrow.

There was a topic on this a few months ago at http://www.howtogeek.com/forum.....nd-windows
Unfortunately, no one figured out to remove the shadow then.

Not in the registry as we know it? Does that mean someone will have to create a new registry entry or something?

Yeah, the shadows annoy me as well.

ya i know what you mean but i guess it just doesn't really bother me that much and i don't really use vista as my main os anymore and i don't use a black wallpaper either but i use a dark window theme so that might be part of it lol
