My sister is playing The Sims (Deluxe Edition) on the computer and she doesn't want it full-screen. In the settings for the game, I couldn't find anything to change the screen size, and when I right-clicked the icon and tried to change the window itself under Properties, Normal, Minimized and Maximized window settings did the same thing - nothing. Is there any way to fix this?

The game is not running on the disk because I used a patch, and it's on a Windows Vista computer.

Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks for replying. I tried the Ctrl + Enter and nothing happened. I tried using it when the game was starting, and during gameplay, and to no avail.

Look in the readme file that came with the game (it will probably be in the game directory and be called readme.txt). You probably have to start it with the command line switch -window or something similar.

wat i wud do is use a program called sizer, wat this does is sets the size of ur windows in explorer by right clicking the title area, u know that bar where u have ur close and minimize buttons in..? well anyway, install this program and then set the window sizes that u like... the when u are playing the game, press the windows logo key, this will mininize the game and bring u back to ur desktop, then right click on the title in ur taskbar, the sizer menu will come up and just choose the size of the window u want the game to run in... shud work, i havnt tried it but in it should work...

lemme know if it works..

Apparently some people do. But when the author says it's not supported in Vista then I say,.....use at your own risk!

I use sizer on Windows Vista and it works just fine. I think The Geek does too.
Though for this topic question I don't think it will help. Full Screen windows are special somehow so normal programs like sizer can't change their size and make them a window.

It looks like you add "-w" to the command line.

@Aleeve: That would be because it's up the the specific game to add Windowed Support and add a command line for it.
Many games today don't support it. Not sure why. I would guess either for performane reasons (though I've not sure what the performance hit would be), work they don't want to do when most people just play in Full Screen Mode, protection from having a cheats page open beside the game (though the print button makes that a bit useless) or all of the above.

Oh right
That's real shame :(

Anybody know if this possible for PC Call of Duty 4?
