How do I disable DEP in vista

I want to run a game but whenever I run it in vista it says: DEP has closed it
I tried to turn it off in the control panel but I can't
Is there any other way to make my game run in vista With out DEP stopping it? Thanks if you could help

Instead of trying to disable DEP, try adding the game as an exception.

To turn off DEP go into Start Menu>cmd>Run As Admin> type in the following code: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

After you have you have done this you will have to restart your computer to apply the changes

Thank you VistaSun but there's a reason we try to solve an issue without simply turning off pieces of essential Vista security.
We prefer to find a suitable workaround without leaving the OP's computer at greater threat risk.
