how do i add roman numerals to part of my document and numbers to other parts of my document? I would like to have the first few pages of the document with i, ii, iii, iv, v etc etc, and then start the next pages after that with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc etc. but i can only seem to do one or the other.

I think you would have to give your whole second section a numeral (e.g. X) and then use numbers as paragraphs under X.

WHS: Evidently you know how to get to the Roman Numerals by clicking on the "Numbering Library" under References.
second one to the right. It is a hassel to use it. You would be better off just using the Key Board for the numbers you need, I - II - III -IV - V - VI - ETC 1 2 3 4. Micro$oft didn't do us any favors on this one.
