Hi, and welcome to How-to-geek community. If u want to download IE 7 you can get it from here but I'm not something sure that you have deleted completely IE 8, so please check your computer again, for example: go start and type "internet explorer" and see if it shows something.

Hope I could help a bit.
Thanks.

aytmatow,
---
Welcome to HTG.
---
In Win 7 Go->Control Panel->Programs and Features->Turn Windows Features On or Off->
---
Object will open
---
Check Mark IE8 Box
---
Close all, follow instructions and Reboot.

hi lisamoody
dont foget 'if you go into>control panel>add/remove programs. that wont get rid of every trace of ie8 look in program,files...go down list look for ie8
there and delete it may have kept 'a log of any prob,' then do a clean install of ie8.
hope this helps it cant do no harm.
