I do not have a floppy drive to load XP drivers but I do have the XP boot disk set on floppies, can I use another computer to burn them to cd and then copy them to the second harddive before I try to install XP onto that drive? Will it recognize that the drivers are there durning the install?

You can add the drivers after installing xp on the machine.
you will just have as lot of unrecognised hardware when you check the device manager.

arundhamodharan, before you do anything make sure you find all the XP drivers for your Dell. Chances are they do not exist. Then you get stuck later. Question: Why did you buy a Vista computer supported by Vista if you wanted XP? You are going down a bumpy road.
