I have a creative nomad jukebox 60gb MP3 player. The software is only for Windows ME. How can I get the drivers on my Windows Vista? The creative website doesnt offer an upgrade for the drivers. I have tried to get the music on there using the windows media player, but it wont work.

It looks like creative does not have any support for Vista with their MP3 players. The nomad line was discontinued in 2004 and they do not support out of production lines.

I would think you are out of luck, compatibility mode will work with software but not divers as far as I know. What is your exact model? There might be unofficial drivers available or firmware floating around that make it work as mass storage.

stonecold2129, hello! I also have a Nomad Jukebox player. Mine is a Jukebox3 with only a 20 GB drive. It lives in a closet because I have a newer, better, smaller, more capacious Zen Vision:M. I have kept the Nomad, though, because it has one very unique feature. It can record a digital bitstream over a toslink cable. To get the recordings off, I use a system running XP.

There used to be a website I frequented for Creative mp3 players, nomadness.net, but it has closed it's doors. There used to be a company that made a software called Notmad Explorer for these players, but they seem to be gone too. Support for these players is really drying up!

I did find this blog post from a guy who got one of these old players running in Vista. If Vista is the only choice, you should probably try such a procedure. Otherwise, I would suggest getting access to a XP system or making an XP Virtual Machine. Also, there may be Linux drivers for it.
