home page win 7 ultimate
(5 posts)I have never had that happen to me. However from working on other people's machines I find that a home page hijack usually results from installing software such as a browser toolbar. Some but not all of these tool bars are shady in my opinion. Be careful of what you download and install. Ask yourself f you really need this and are you really going to use it. Then investigate the software on sites such as WOT prior to installing.
If you have not installed any tool bars for your browser you may want to scan your machine for infection. A lot of malware will take over your browser(s). It may be something else but better safe than sorry.
