What can in linux /ubuntu to hide my ip address. When i log into certain things, my ip gets recorded - i don't want my real ip recorded.

Tried to get TOR to work, but couldn't; also heard not to use it due to malware. Hide my ass doesn't have an easy way to download their provpn. Don't know what is left.

Thanks.

Google for "psiphon open node"
1.make a account
2.they will email you a private link to log in .
3. login on your account
4. now your connection is encrypted

By the way as you said you already tried TOR

try using "tor vidalia bundle" or "tor browser bundle"

if they still didn't work try "ultrasurf"
