I tried the things in the post http://www.howtogeek.com/howto.....windows-7/ but in the first stage itself when tried to activate hibernate using powercfg /hibernate on
It shown that " Hibernation failed with the following error: The request is not supported.
The follwoing items are preventing hibernation on this system
There are one or more legacy drivers installed: LMCPort
"hibernate not working

Hi there,

I too have this problem and found this page which tells you how to turn off unused drivers which may be stopping the hibernation function working - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto.....-hardware/

Unfortunately for me when I tried to uninstall the driver that is causing problems for me (Vga.Save) it wouldn't actually uninstall! even after it makes me restart it is still there and hibernate still won't work. but maybe it will work for you!

If anyone else can help me it would be much appreciated! I also have no sleep function either so have to either have my computer on or off!

Please help!
