my pc only has 1527 MB RAM, can I still install SP1?
do I have to backup ANY files prior to install of SP1?
do I need to create a restore point prior to install of SP1?
do I disable Zone Alarm prior to install of SP1?

Yes - Normal procedure to back up any personal files before a major change like this
No - it should be done automatically (if you want to be sure, then make one)
