4paws: hi, welcome to the forum. My advice would be to uninstall it. As far as I know, Logitech Desktop is just a way for Logitech to send you ads for their products. Sure, they might occasionally send a coupon or discount code, but do you need this running all the time on your system? You could probably sign up for an e-mail newsletter instead and get the same thing.
Yes, they do have a newsletter and I found it quite easily. Here on their website under Subscription Management, you can sign up for a newsletter that probably sends the same info by e-mail.
