Its my worst experience with windows vista so far. Last night my friend downloaded Google chrome and google earth and installed it on his Lenovo R60 notebooK PC. He had Windows Vista Ultimate without any service pacK 1. He had to restart the laptop as he was experiencing few crashes. After Vista re-booted it asKed for his password for his UA. When he put the password and logged in, but the screen reamined blanK. He tried again and again thrice and still no respite. He then used a Vista DVD to re-install MSV but once the DVD asKed "Press any Key to boot from CD or DVD....." he pressed a Key then also the screen remained blanK for half and hour. He got another DVD which had Vista Home Basic in it and tried to install. He formatted his OS partition and progressed but suddenly maybe because the DVD was corrupt it didnot complete the installation. Then I also repeated the whole procedure with the 2 DVDs in his notebooK and the same problem occured. Frustrated I tried to install Ubuntu 8.04 in his notebooK but that too didnt worK in his C:\ (\sda\dev1). Now poor guy doesnt have any OS in his notebooK. Please help.........
