I had the same problem. Somewhere the geek has covered how to patch the files your self. I assume your using a new-er version of vista. I followed the geeks tutorial and patched the files myself. MAKE SURE YOU DELETE THE AUTO PATCHED FILES FIRST! Once you delete them, and patch it yourself, the problem SHOULD be fixed.
EDIT: What SP are you running?

o03L3M3NT13370o. Download and install the very latest driver for your display adaptor.
If you go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Display Adaptor. Right click and select properties.
Post the make/model here. I will try to help you find the driver.

@LH, Vista SP1 is suppossed to fix bugs and all, do you think that maybe if he downloads it the situation may improve? and if the driver is what's wrong isnt "vista automatic update"suppossed to find updates to even your drivers and all (it does for me).. cuz then o03L3M3NT13370o could just download the driver update that will (in theory) be compatible with his pc?

@o03L3M3NT13370o:
*Is this the first time you try changing your theme and get this result in that computer?
*In case not, has it worked before, or, well.. has it worked before but have you noticed something's not right?
*Have you installed anything recently? SP1? any driver or something that came in automatic updates?
*Have you installed any custom theme before and now you're trying to get back to any of the preinstalled vista theme?
*Have you tried with all the themes available? ( I mean, all vista default themes to see if is just a matter of one or of all?)

I only used the themes that came with it

OH.. so.. it's not the themes themselves but the theme station.. how long have you had this theme before you wanted to changeto another? I'm guessing the file responsible for the station behavior might be corrupt..

Did you try patching the necessary files manually?
