Please help!! I have an Insprion 1501 and until recently I have been able to use my laptop to watch vidoes using the flash player!!! Then suddenly it stopped working and every time I try to watch a video the following message comes up 'Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player. ' I have tried numerous times to download flash player and each time it always says installation successful, but alas videos still won't work.

I have made sure my javascript is enabled, and have even uninstalled all previous versions of flash, any solutions would be very welcome as it is quite annoying not being able to watch videos when I want to!! Thanks.

Hi Louweeze. Welcome to HTG,

How did you uninstall flash?
Try the flash uninstaller if you haven't already. Then reinstall flash player.
See if that helps. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

I don't trust any message that says; "Hello".

@Bartman,
---
Yes and the OP said; "suddenly it stopped working".
---
The issue reeks of malware or virus.
