My western dig HDD returned an error that it needed to be formatted immediately after installing W7. I ran the Western Dig DLGDIAG and the drive failed. Attempts to fix the 2 bad sectors returned on the test were also met with errors.

The drive is still functional and responds to USB hookup and disconnect, I also attempted to connect it to another machine running XP and the same errors occurred.

Model number is WD4000KS-00MNB0. Its a 400GB WD MyBook.

Any suggestions on how to access the data on the drive will be tremendously appreciated.
