Several times a day I have to restart Vista laptop to get online. Repair doesn't fix the problem. Using a wireless router. Another wireless laptop (XP) and wired computer (Windows 7) never have that problem.

Am assuming the machine is going into some kind of sleep mode and loosing it's connection to the router since the other machines appear to have no problems staying connected.

Go to Power Options then to advanced and make sure that any setting that refers to turning off the LAN adapter to save power is turned off. You can also check this on the property page of your LAN adapter ->Configuration -> Power saving TAB. Set it to not allow it to be turned off.
