Hi everyone
i have not been about for a long time and it seems i have fell behind the times.
I have just noticed in the shops windows 7
i am just getting to grips with vista whats going on does Mr gates need more cash that he has
to confuse me into getting a new opperating system?

OK the question is do i need it
and more importantly will it be life changeing
sorry i am behind the times

Why don't you try it out and see for yourself. Here you can download a 90 day free trial Windows7 Enterprise. Then install it in a virtual partition as to those instructions. Use virtual Box. Allocate 1GB of RAM and 25GB of disk space to the virtual partition. You can install directly from the downloaded .iso. In less than 1 hour you up and running.

Read "The pros and cons of switching to Windows 7" on the Windows Secrets newsletter. It is very specific to your question.

An excerpt:

"By far the most-compelling argument for staying with Windows XP or Vista is this: The Windows you have now does everything you need, and you aren't overly concerned about rootkits or other nearly invisible malware hosing your machine. In this case, there's no compelling reason to go out on a limb with Win7."

i will print and have a bedtime read but like i said in earlier post i am just getting to grips with vista.

and yes LH i had to wait for a file to be sent to me in a cake to get out of the loony bin
