google os?
(10 posts)Mike, I´ve heard about it before, sounds interesting for people that are wanting to use "Google only" applications. I don´t think there will be much competition on the desktop market. It would probably be a great netbook OS though. (if you don´t mind Google knowing exactly where you are and what you are doing, lol) Matt
EDIT: Moved to Geek Stuff
Sounds a bit like a Google version of those manufacturer things one sometimes finds, especially on laptops - the ones that just launch some kind of stripped-down thing for web browsing. I think Dell's got one but I've only used it by accident because its start button's in a silly place. However, combine it with that BIOS that provides basic GUI based computer functionality and web browsing and google may be onto a winner in quick booting applications.
