I'm using google at the moment as a browser but have just found out about Google Chrome !
I've been told it is good with picking out any security threats , is it worth changing over too ?
And if I do, will I have to un-install anything first before I download ?

plus What happens to Explorer ?

Your opinions please

'I'm using google at the moment as a browser'

So are you using Chrome already?
Slightly confused on this

Google Chrome is great! Very fast and light, and I really like it
However, there are occassional issues with compatibility with site plugins, so probably not worth uninstalling you're current browser yet

Chrome is not as secure as IE8 but a little better than IE7. Go to this website and download (middle of the page where it says "here") the results (.pdf file) of the security tests - very interesting.
You can run as many browsers as you want in paralell (at times I had seven). They all have their pro's and con's depending on what you want to do. I also like Opera a lot. But I also use Safari, K-Meleon, AOL and have used World Browser which I liked a lot, but that one has security issues. Have tried a few others briefly but did not find anything real good.

i think google chrome is MUCH better! i use it.. and you dont need to uninstall anything at all.. it just adds another button to click to use google chrome... your internet explorer will still be there to use... you can use both at the same time if you so desire... but i like chrome better... and if you chose you dont like it, its really easy to uninstall.. just go to control pannle.. i recommend atleast trying, even if you dont stick with it...
