Hi !

I just tried to install an IMAP-gmail account on my brand new outlook 2007.

I followed step by step the tutorial found on your site.

I configured the Imap & Smtp ports properly but...

... when doing next, this box appears.

I fill my password in and click ok but it comes anew.

The only thing I can do to avoid it is to click "Cancel" and get the following error message :

Log onto incoming mail server (IMAP): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).

I tried any solution I could think to but something goes on working wrong.

Would you give me any solution ?

Have you enabled IMAP in your gmail account?
If not see the page at http://mail.google.com/support.....swer=77695 for more information on that.

Ok.. I found the solution myself.

The tutorial on HTG says imap and smtp servers are imap.google.com and smtp.google.com.

For my accounts it is not so but imap.googlemail.com and smtp.googlemail.com instead.

Maybe tthe tutorial should be changed. If someone reads me...

^^
