Hey Everyone,

I'm sure everyone at some point has had these questions in mind, so once and for all, could someone try to answer as many for all of us? Remember----> OUTLOOK 2007!!!

1. Duplicate sent items: No matter what I put, I can't seem to let it default "save to server". Outlook HAS to make me choose whether to save to default sent items or any folder of choice. Can't it just send to the gmail server without creating another copy anywhere else?

According to gmail: "Do NOT save sent messages on the server. If your client is sending mail through Gmail's SMTP server, your sent messages will be automatically copied to the [Gmail]/Sent Mail folder." What else am I supposed to do...they force me to save it somehwere.

2. Junk Email Folder: I already turned off junk email, yet theres still a label that says junk email, and i can't remove it because it says "You can't move special folders".

3. Drafts: How do I change it so it stores in [Gmail]/Drafts instead of the personal folder drafts?

4. IMAP location: Can I change the imap location to a different partition on my drive? I know it saves to some temp place in my C: drive, but i want it some place else. If I move it, it just recreates it there.

According to gmail: "DO save draft messages on the server. If you want your drafts in your mail client to sync correctly with Gmail's web interface, set your client to save drafts to the [Gmail]/Drafts folder." How do I do that??

Finally, some quick questions about general gmail imap:

1. If I delete a folder in outlook, that removes the label right, but the mail physically stays in "All mail" in outlook right?
2. Deleting a message from a folder in outlook does....?
3. No matter where, all messages in folders or inbox will be found in the "all mail" in outlook right?

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

I can answer #4.

Make sure you have Outlook closed before you start doing these steps
1. go to your Microsoft Office folder of where OUTLOOK.exe is located
2. find the file MLCFG32.CPL
3. run it.
4. click Data Files
5. click Open Folder
6. move your gmail data file elsewhere
7. switch back to the Data Files manager
8. double click on gmail data file listed there
9. doing so should give you an error, saying the file cannot be located. click OK
10. it should now ask you go locate the file

And that's it.
