The How-to-Geek is a very good writer, but now and then he mistakenly assumes his readers will all understand certain Geekenese terms, such as ISO and MBR. Maybe the forum could use a glossary. I would love to know what is meant by these terms.
There are other websites that keep long lists of abbreviations and encyclopedic information about them. I like Wikipedia. You can also google for anything that you haven't heard of before.
Well, Wiki had 18 items listed in the disambiguation for ISO, none of which seemed to be applicable to the discussion here, with the possible exception of Intense Suicide Observation. Maybe Google will do better.
