I just did a clean install of Windows 7 (with an upgrade disc) and I wanted to expand the Windows 7 partition:

Unfortunately, the free space is on the OTHER side of the Windows Vista partition. Is it safe to remove the Windows Vista partition? It has labels such as System, Active, Page File, and Primary Partition that if I remove it Windows 7 (on B:) won't work.

by confirm which partition boot store is located on, do you mean, boot.ini? Hardware/OS level stuff isn't my thing.

Ok, never mind. Because Windows hadn't yet activated itself, I just did a fresh install over Vista. I've copied all my files and it's working fine now.
