Never having been around geeks much (I think I had one for a neighbor once),I have a few questions (must be an epidemic, everyones got at least one).
1.do geeks have rankings?you know like 'geek 2nd class' or 'king geek'.
2.is there a minimum age for being a geek?maximum age?
3.do geeks feel smug knowing they got the last laugh (being called a 'geek' or 'geekie'used to be an insult,now if you're not one or know one you're lost)?
4.is there an initiation rite before becoming a geek?
5.do geeks have better luck with chicks?
6.is there a geek hall of fame?
7.to be a geek do you have to be expert in software and hardware both?
8.is there a secret geek handshake?
9.do geeks have a sense of humor?

Too bad chicks aren't torrents!!!

I'm having a lot of trouble with the women-as-torrents metaphor. Consider this passage from wikipedia's description of a torrent:

"Such a group of peers connected to each other to share a torrent is called a swarm. If the swarm contains only the initial seeder, the client connects directly to it and begins to request pieces. As peers enter the swarm, they begin to trade pieces with one another, instead of downloading directly from the seeder."

Now, if you replace "peer" with "geek" and replace "torrent" with "chick"...well, it's not a pretty picture. :o
