The more cores the better for AMD products.

The AMD FX-8350 Vishera is the newest CPU introduced from AMD to try and compete with Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs.

Although they come close, AMD CPUs still cannot beat or match Intel Ivy CPU overall bench marks performance.

thanks for all the help rick! we exchanged all the parts that you recommended and decided we were going to buy the ssd and the 7200 rpm hard drive (going to use the 7200 rpm one for storage) one thing we did do is switch the power supply to 750w. i don't think that this matters to much but please let me know on which one you suggest. here is the link for the 750w power supply we exchanged for the 1000w - http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....6817151087

Hey Rick, you really helped us in our build we ended up getting everything working. The only problem we had was trying to figure out how to get out computer to recognize the second drive. I just want to say thanks for all the help and HW suggestions. Another problem was the power supply would not turn on unless the MB was connected with the 24 pin cable. The Thor tower is great as most of the cables can be routed behind the main compartment which really helps the air flow. Again thanks for all of your help.
