Hi All

this is not about the PC.. I know about PC hardware but just some other things that really only deal with gaming...

Are Machanical ones really that much better?
Is wired grately different from wireless?
Any suggestions for a cheapish one?

again, wired over wireless?
any suggestions?

what do headsets do during games? are they suppose to play all audio through the headset and have a mouse or is it only voice that comes through with the audio still coming out of my surround system?
if its only for voice, why do most gaming headsets two ears and look like they will block out a lot of my surround sound?
All info and any suggestions welcome.

As regards headsets, unless otherwise specified they would behave just as a pair of headphones and separate microphone by default.

Wireless keyboards and mice are great unless the battery runs flat in the middle of a game. With decent hardware, any latency would be so miniscule you wouldn't even notice it. The Xbox 360 wireless controller is a good example.

Mechanical keyboard? Dunno, never used one.. they're too expensive for the likes of me.
