i have a laptop whose battery is completely wasted and therefore keep it on direct current but due to power cuts in my building i would like to know whether these sudden power cuts can cause any problem for the motherboard or any of its components?

It won't hurt the motherboard as much as it might screw up the software.

@warlock-ups is a device which i cant afford & i m thinking about selling my laptop & getting a new one at boxing day.anyways i just wanted to know whether it cause any problem with my laptop.

@ xhi- so u r saying that even with these power cuts the hardware bears no damage.

That would be my opinion. Unless of course there is a major power surge, but even then the brick should take the hit.
