I am experiencing issues with Firefox 3.5.1 since I reinstalled Vista on my laptop, Firefox is very slow in loading pages, it states done loading page but the page is blank, IE8 is not having these issues on my laptop. Also when I close Firefox and try to open it back (restart the browser) a pop-up window states that I need to stop the Firefox process because it is still running.

Any suggestions? I realy want to use Firefox intead of IE

You can try to create a new profile,

(do not delete the old one)

In addition to the new profile, try the safe-mode version of Firefox to see if the trouble is due to add-ons. Go to Start -> All Programs -> Mozilla Firefox -> Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode).

ScottW,

I tried the safe mode, works fine like that, what are the next steps?

Ferry, if the trouble is with add-ons, then you need to figure out which add-on is causing the trouble. It could also be caused by a conflict between multiple add-ons, though I'm not aware of any.

If you can't finger one add-on as a most likely culprit, disable them all then re-enable them one at a time.

Thanks Scott, that makes sense, I'll figure it out from here on.

Ferry. If you would so kind as to post which add-on(s) are causing the problem, we would appreciate it. Thankyou.
