Free Ubuntu CD

I recently heared about linux's new OS naming Ubuntu. Nice OS. It is an open-source. You can download at ubuntu.com

even can get a free Cd Goto: I want a free CD

I also requested a CD and got it within two weeks.

By the way, ubuntu is a pretty old OS, and has versions coming out like windows. The latest one is 9.10 (i guess so). Checkout this link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_(operating_system)

ubuntu really is a great os, especially if you are not tied down to having to use specific programs for school or work. i would use it full time if i wasnt required to use office and other programs for school. one great thing about ubuntu is its great customization, it may not look great initially, but with an hour or two you can really have a beautiful os.

In my limited experience, Ubuntu will run any printer, usb, external and legacy peripherals without the driver problems that can happen with xp and vista.

if your computer can run vista and you like all the ubuntu eye candy try Ultimate Edition it doesn't use as much resources as vista and everything you need is built right in to the o/s. just activate it, no terminal work required
