We recently purchased a HP PC with Windows 7. I'm looking for a compatible anti-virus program also an email program. Thank you for our help.

Download Microsoft Security Essentials. Its a free anti-virus and is awesome at its job. Get it from

For your AV use/ Microsoft Security Essentials http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Email use/ Windows live mail http://download.live.com/wlmail

You may also use yahoomail as your e-mail program.

I use Avira Antivir; it comes up with high ratings from most testers.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials, it is free, works, and is low on system resources. For email, I would suggest using gmail (mail.google.com) and if you want to download the mail or use it offline use offline gmail.
