That field is actually called "Custom Title" and can only be changed by moderators. It's useful for noting when somebody is a moderator or administrator, etc, but can also be used for more humorous purposes =)

I've limited some of the options that we provide, so our forum doesn't have signatures or things like that, because I think they really muddy up a forum. Let what you say be what makes you original, more than anything else.

In the somewhat near future there will be some upgrades to the forum profile pages, so you'll be able to add more information about yourself, etc.
