I've noticed that some formatting in posts doesn't seem to display so I'm going to test it in this message.
Tests:
BBcode Bold
HTML Bold
BBcode Italics
<i>HTML Italics</i>
HTML Emphasized

HTML blockquote

HTML code
BBcode code
BBcode underline
HTML underline
[ HTML Ruler:

]
HTML center

  • HTML Unordered List Item
  1. HTML Ordered List Item

HTML Strikethough
BBcode Strikethough
<font size="2" face="Verdana">HTML Font

Edit:
What I see:
Works: HTML code, BBcode code, bbcode underline, HTML underline, HTML Ruler, HTML center, HTML Strikethough, BBcode Strikethough
Does Not Work: BBcode Bold, HTML Bold, BBcode Italics, HTML Italics, HTML Emphasized, HTML blockquote, HTML Unordered List Item, HTML Ordered List Item, Font

Yeah, I've got a number of issues with the formatting.

I've been meaning to fix the bold and italics, blockquote and lists... I'm a little worried about allowing weird fonts though.

i don't think that we need the font sizes they don't really have a purpose and may get over used

Jack,

Maybe and maybe Not.
If one does away with the site's (uniqueness), then it just becomes another one of 10's of thousands of help sites on the net. Think about why you wanted to have a neat painted case ??
The same reasoning applies - Uniqueness.

I agree with Jack. All the different fonts and sizes are distracting. (just my two cents)

yes but just having to code isn't really anything unique compared to the others really and i think that you can get the same effect by using bold font or italics instead of changing the size and i think that different fonts will just make things confusing. unless if it can be made where some of the code can be only allowed in the off topic section and then a different set just for the main forum?? that could work because then the people needing help will not get confused but we can still have fun in the OT.

Jack,

To my knowledge, no one ever abuses the size text code.

I might have done it a time or two but it was with a picture.

Most of the time, the abuse is using ALL CAPS which is very hard to read and confusing.

Rick P.♦:)

techgranny,

Simple to get my little dancing man.

Just Left Click on the picture, choose (Save Picture As) in Drop Down Menu to some place like your desktop.

Left Click on the saved animated gif file and open the file in (Windows Fax Viewer Program) or in a Browser.

The image is coded (being pulled) off of one of my site servers and is not protected.

If you want to post it yourself, you will have to upload the saved picture to Photobucket or some other server like other members do.
You are welcome to do so.
Enjoy Techgranny.

Kindest Regards,
Rick P.♦:)
