I want to format my styles to this:

Indent: Left: 1.34 cm, Hanging: 0.63 cm, Bulleted + Level: 1 + Aligned at: 1.34 cm + Indent at: 1.97 cm, Style: Quick Style, Based on: Body Text

But i want it to be like this:

Indent: Left: 1.34 cm, Hanging: 0.63 cm, Tabs: 1.34cm, List tab, Bulleted + Level: 1 + Aligned at: 0.7 cm + Tab after: 1.34cm + Indent at: 1.34 cm

also is the any easier way just to input styles instead of creating a page first then applying styles to it???

I am using word 2007 and if anybody could help me that would be perfect

thanks

hmm just read that back and it seems a little confusing so I make again :D

With the options availible to me and my limited knowledge I have created the style as follows :

Indent: Left: 1.34 cm, Hanging: 0.63 cm, Bulleted + Level: 1 + Aligned at: 1.34 cm + Indent at: 1.97 cm, Style: Quick Style, Based on: Body Text

but i actually want it to read like this:

Indent: Left: 1.34 cm, Hanging: 0.63 cm, Tabs: 1.34cm, List tab, Bulleted + Level: 1 + Aligned at: 0.7 cm + Tab after: 1.34cm + Indent at: 1.34 cm

How can I sort out the formatting so that it is actually the same.

Hope that is clearer, opps

I think the easiest way is to create a sjablone.
Put in all you want it to show and then save - not as a word doc but as a wordtemplate.
I don't know the correct name because I work with a Dutch version and only have Office97 ;)
But I take it it won't have changed much.

Standard the template that is opened is 'normal', but you can open another template or ceate a shortcut so Word opens that template directly.

I'll post some screenshots of how it looks for me;)

I know this doesn't pertain to the topic at all, I just had to comment on my amazement that someone is still using Office 97.

LOL - I got it for free at my work a long time ago and installed a macro to type Greek text with it. I'm so used to it I can type classical Greek at quite a reasonable pace, so I don't want to transfer to another (newer) app for typing Greek text (I know there are some good ones out there, but with a different keyboard layout - so I'd have to learn it all over again). if I wouldn't use Office 97 I'd probably use OpenOffice or StarOffice or something, since I prefer freeware;)

I always liked OpenOffice. I tried StarOffice and didn't see the big deal in it.

I can understand sticking with a particular app for one certain reason, we are all guilty of it in one way or another.
