This is a carp
And I just talked to a guy who built a very special Moto Guzzi, 25 years ago. He said he would put a picture up on the web next week. (Nobody can compete with this Guzzi)
Oh, and for the hunters. I forgot the rabbit
25 years ago I nearly bought a Guzzi California. But then I had a serious accident with my Honda and quit biking. Today I like Ducati.
I had a 1980 T3 California...but I modified it a bit. :)
That's the one - nice and comfy with integral brakes and boards for the feet.
By the time I'd finished with it, It was laid back, but looked sporty, and was within 10 mph of a LeMans Mk4
But the California was not really designed for racing - rather cruising. The LeMans was a different animal. My dealer had one in green. Looked very British.
The T3 engine they used in the (first) California, was very well suited to circuit racing.
and it was the same frame, wheels, brakes etc. Just different styling.
