fn keys not working(toshibaL45-s7409)

I have this huge problem,my fn keys are not working on my toshiba L45-s7409,I tried the toshiba site and downloaded all the files that "google"said it might help but my fn keys still not functioning,
so plz can u help with that
the only thing i haven't tried is to uninstall the keyboard driver because i was afraid it might not work again

Welcome yarash, I had this as well on my Tosh P300, you could try setting your bios to default; I read this on a forum some time back but can't remember which one. It worked.

how exactly can I do that please ?!
and would it affect anything else on my laptop ?!

As the machine starts up, keep tapping the F2 key. You will have to look for the Reset Default. Then exit with save

As I said and LH expanded; F2 reset defaults and this should solve the problem,

would that remove any of my programs ?!
or would it modify anything else than the keyboard ?!
I'm sorry it's just that I'm having a lot of problems since i installed win7 :S

sorry to jump in, some of my Fkeys have stopped operating,.i had vista before and changed to win,7 i think the o/s resets or modifies some not all for the required
funtion. some keys that worked on vista dont work on 7. i haven't lost any sleep over it,lol i hope yarash gets it sorted. once again 'sorry'
