Does anyone know how to fix the icons in the music folder so they all show the album artwork?

I have got all the album artwork, and put it in the folders named "folder.jpg". But only some of them are showing it on the folder. Anyone know how to fix this, I have kind of a lot of music so a short method would be nice :P

open music, then click on "views" at the top until you get the look you want.

Nah, I understand that.

It's just that some of them aren't showing album artwork on the folder and some are. I fixed it before but I can't remember how, by like deleting some file and adding a different one. I have noticed while googling a lot of people have a similar problem but know one has any answers.

I am not a total noob at this, but I appreciate the help. :)

Do you have album art in the tags of the tracks? That's how all of my music is, so Vista automatically creates music folders with album covers. However, I have my music filed by Artist folder, then a folder for each Album, then the tracks inside. So, the Album folders get pretty icons, but the Artist folder does not.

You might try clearing the thumbnail cache using Disk Cleanup. Keep in mind that this will wipe out all album art and image thumbnails, then rebuild them the next time that you browse to a given folder. However, this step might cause Vista to pick up the images that you want to use as thumbnails. One other thing that I've noticed is that Disk Cleanup remembers the settings that you chose before, so be sure to uncheck the thumbnail cache on it's next run or you will lose all of that work again!

I am using Media Monkey so I made it embed the album art into the track as well as putting it as a "folder.jpg" so you get the pretty pictures folder.

I'll try cleaning the Disk Cache and see if it works.

Thanks for your help :)
