This is my first PC built from scratch. I'm buying my first PC in nearly a decade, and I wont have the money to do this again for another decade, so I want to get it right. I selected these parts from NEWEGG for the prices listed. I need to be sure everything is compatible and that I'm not lacking parts I will need. I want to stay as close to a grand as possible, and I want my PC to be able to tear Skyrim a new butthole. I also need it to run 3ds max and Photoshop simultaneously without crashing or slowing down. There are cheaper cases, but I LOVE this case. Other than that, I selected what I thought was best, but I'm not entirely sure.

This looks decent. Too bad there is no money for an ssd or a hybrid drive. Go to the mother board site to see what memory has been verified to work.

Check motherboard for easy upgrade to 22nm processors. Future proof protection. I just built my pc waiting for 6 months negotiating parts. I have the 650 Obsidian case. I love it other then the fact that it has a window. If I was into flashy lights and leds it would be awesome. Hence, I just want performance.

edit: I have my i7-2600k overclocked to 4.7Ghz stable with Prime95 with 48 hour test. I cant believe it. K series are solid performers!
