Firefox Won't Let me Do Anything

Very first post here, so hi everyone!

I recently started have been having issues with Firefox 3.6.8 where the browser won't let me do anything (click on links, enter any searches) until the site is fully loaded, this is sporadic and sometime I find myself waiting 30+ seconds until I can do anything on that particular website. Is there anything that I can do to address this issue? Again, this started recently, not sure if it was right after one of those recommended Firefox upgrades, but could very well be.

Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Rob. Do you have the same problem in IE, or another browser ?

Test FF under SAFE MODE using a NEW profile, http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode, and disable all add-ons. Don't delete them, just run safe mode without them.

See what happens.

Still a problem, create a NEW profile, http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode, and see if the profile is causing you a problem as well by creating another one.

One of these should point you in the direction of the real problem, assuming you do not have the problems in IE as well.
