Hi heyden ,

Welcome to HTG ,

What's the name of the program ?

Also, do you mean Disc ?

Thanks for the quick response.
It is a CD that contains a wealth of programs, D_Slax 1.6 is the title. It is an evaluation program from her employer to see if her laptop can handle their software. There is limited/no IT assistance available.
I opened the CD and it ran the evaluation including replacing her current desktop, the message said that everything was ok except that my firewall was preventing firefox from opening.

This is the part that worries me "...including replacing her current desktop".

Did the New desktop come with FF or did you have to install that separately ?

Have you tried IE browser ? What happens ?

FF is not installed on the computer and IE is working. The CD is supposed to check if her laptop could support these programs. I am going to check it another computer. I will check with her co-workers to see if they have had the same problems.
Thanks for your help

If FF is not installed on the computer then it will not/can not open no matter what.
