Backup your favorites and what not, then Uninstall what you have now. Then go get the latest version from mozilla directly.

Sometimes when I click on an item it goes to it and then it jumps back to the bookmark.
I have tried 4 editions of Firefox.

The first thing to do in cases like yours is to try running Firefox in safe mode.

NOT Windows safe mode -- but Firefox's own safe mode.

This will temporarily disable all your add-ons, which can often be a cause of conflicts such as yours.

If you do not experience your problem while in safe mode, then you will need to figure out which add-on may be the culprit.

Have a look at the link below, which is Mozilla's basic troubleshooting guide to Firefox and will help walk you through a step-by-step procedure.

"Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode"

http://support.mozilla.org/en-.....-safe-mode

Hope this helps.
