Firefox Extensions

It would be nice if you were up to date with the firefox versions and your extension articles. for the last 3 times I've tried an extension suggested by How-To Geek, All I get is incompatibility notices for my Firefox toolbars. The very latest was the article on the Smart Bookmarks Bar I don't use Windows anymore so the only reason I still subscribe to the newsletter is for the Firefox articles...am thinking maybe the only help would be to unsubscribe from How-To Geek totally. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I'm very careful in reading the directions. Any comments would be greatly appreciated?

have you upgraded to the version of firefox that the articles are written on?
